Golden Gate University's Certificate in health services management (HSM) is designed to give you the knowledge, skills and tools needed to effectively manage a health-services organization. Current and future issues impacting health services management receive special emphasis. You'll learn how to succeed in the administration of health-services organizations and to understand the structure and function of the US health-services systems. You'll gain expertise in the role and function of different types of public and private health insurance programs and be able to analyze current and future US healthcare policy issues.

The HSM certificate will be of interest to those with a health sciences, social-work or nursing background who want to learn the business skills needed to move into management. Another option is the traditional MBA with a concentration in Health Services Management.
